The World of Telecommunications / Electronics - New Zealand’s electronics and telecommunications industry has gone through rapid growth and is a major growth industry worldwide. This programme has been designed to assist with addressing the skills shortage areas to the electronics and telecommunications industries.

At Queens Academic Group you can choose to study either IT Level 5 or 7 OR Telecommunications Level 6 or 7. Our IT/Telecomunication programmes are tailored to meet your current career plans and future aspirations.

IT Courses

  • National Diploma in Computing L5

    This unique programme combines business with IT, and enables graduates to function within a business environment with the added expertise of being able to provide IT support to their workplace.

  • Diploma in Information Technology L7 (BusIT)

    This programme is to provide businesses with high-level personnel that are multi-skilled and able to work within a business environment and contribute significantly to Information Technology strategies and support within the organisation.

 

Telecommunications/Electronics Courses

  • Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications L6

    This 1 year programme (first year of the Level 7 qualification) merges appropriate knowledge of electronics, communication engineering, mathematics, and electronics communication systems. It provides a broad base of technical competence of the basic building blocks of electronic devices and electronic communications technologies.

  • Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications L7

    This 2 year programme offers advanced skills in electronic circuitry and telecommunications engineering technology. It provides a complex technical competence in electronic devices, electronic communications technologies such as radio, integrated electronics systems, and software that governs the application of this technology.
